Sir Elton’s 10th annual charity ball and auction, The White Tie and Tiara Ball, was attended by over 600 guests, each paying £3000 a ticket and raised £10 million for the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Held at his Windsor mansion, guests included Will Smith and wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Natalie Imbruglia, Gordon Ramsay, Graham Norton, Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, Kimberly Stewart, Liz Hurley, Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, Lulu, Mischa Barton, Kelly Osbourne, Agyness Deyn and numerous other celebrities.

Bill Clinton also attended the ball and auction with his daughter Chelsea, as did Michael Caine and Denzel Washington.

The exclusive auction prizes included a trip to Africa with Elton and his partner, which went for £1 million pounds; lunch for six with Bill Clinton at Gordon Ramsay’s New York restaurant for £200,000;an oil painting by Mark Quinn went for £900,000 and a photographic portrait sitting with Mario Testino raised £800,000.
